Hydralon Ltd was established in 1955 and is a private, independent company based in Southampton, operating on a 25,000 sq ft site.

To meet our customer's needs we have a team of highly qualified staff who are experienced in developing and implementing fit for purpose, cost effective coating solutions. We aim to meet your needs reliably, consistently and on time.

Consistent Quality

Our quality control is second to none, and has been a main stay of Hydralon many years. In 1976 we were MOD DefStan 05/24 approved and subsequently moved to BS 5750 in 1988. This was upgraded to ISO 9002 and later to ISO 9001:2000 with no exclusions.

Quality is fitness for purpose, and we coat at different quality levels appropriate to the job but what ever level is agreed we maintain that consistently. We carry out final packaging for customers and dispatch directly to their customers both here and abroad.

Technical Innovation

Several technical innovations in plant and equipment have been instigated and developed by the Company in-house. Some technical developments in coating materials and processes have been at our initiative, these range from the coating of non metallics, including glass and plastics, to slip resistant HydraGRIP® finishes.

Extended Product Life

A coated component's lifespan is determined by design, pre-treatment, coating and its environment. Our BSi scope includes design, test and application of coating systems, this together with our extensive range of pre-treatments and supported by our laboratory test facilities enable us provide our customers with a solution to virtually any powder coating requirement. We are always pleased to contribute to the development of new products and share our expertise and knowledge.

Worldwide

Hydralon coatings have been exported all around the world. Our customers have won more than 40 Queen's Awards - mainly for Export Achievement but some for Technology Achievement - to which we have made a valuable contribution.
