We offer an unparalleled range of pre-treatments to cover virtually any substrate and requirement. This includes conversion coatings, which significantly enhance the adhesion and corrosion performance of the powder coating.
Long Life outdoor coatings - guarantees available
Several of our pre-treatment processes together with careful choice of powder give exceptional corrosion protection.
If required, we can offer guarantees. Many other guarantees in the coatings industry only cover specific areas - for example powder manufacturers may offer a guarantee that the powder itself will not break down. These are of limited use, as they do not address the most likely causes of coating failure - namely inadequate surface preparation prior to coating, improper application of the powder or an inappropriate curling cycle. Our guarantees are straightforward and cover all aspects of our processes.
The selection criteria for finishing different substrates vary considerably. We have particular expertise in coating, casting, aluminium extrusion and sheet metalwork and fabrications.
High Performance System for outdoor steel
One of the long life outdoor coatings we offer is our High Performance System. This provides enhanced corrosion protection of steel together with a coloured, decorative architectural finish. It has been developed to offer substantial advantages over galvanising and zinc metal spraying.
Our system exceeds the requirements of BS 6497:1992 (Powder coatings on hot-dip galvanised steel for external architectural purposes). In terms of surface appearance, its silky smooth finish is far superior. In our accelerated corrosion test (acid salt spray), steel coated using our System passes the test after 3 times as much exposure as that required by BS 6497.
