HydraGRIP®
HydraGRIP® is a Hydralon developed slip-resistant coating integrating slip-resistant materials into powder coating thermosetting resins using novel and patented technology.
HydraGRIP® is designed for use on rigid surfaces that can withstand the curing temperature of the powder coating process e.g. metal, thermosetting plastics, glass and special quality MDF board.
HydraGRIP® is available in a range of grades from heavy duty (suitable for steps on utilities vehicles and industrial use) to very fine (suitable for bare hand use for example grab rails).
HydraGRIP® has been independently tested to BS 7976 (Pendulum slip test) and in accordance with the UKSRG guidelines. The test results were:

The potential for slip for pendulum values above 65 is described as "Extremely Low".

When used on manhole covers for road application the polished stone value of the aggregate is important. Independent tests to BS EN 1097-8:2000:-

HydraGRIP® is available in a full range of colours and provides a durable unobtrusive and slip-resistant surface for both indoor and outdoor use.
HydraGRIP® coatings combined with Hydralon's pre-treatments pass 1000 hrs Hot Neutral Salt Spray to ASTM B117.
Epoxy Wet Paint Slip-Resistant Coatings
In addition to HydraGRIP® we provide slip-resistant coatings based on an epoxy wet paint system. These can be applied onto suitably prepared and primed substrates or on top of powder coatings.
The product was originally designed for use on aircraft carrier decks and in approved MoD/DRA to DEF STAN 80-134 Type 2.
It has a limited range of colour and chalking may be a problem in decorative applications but it offers a tough, robust and corrosion resistant slip-resistant surface.
